Dr. Colella was born and raised in Syracuse, New York. Dr. Colella earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree at Alfred University and his D.M.D. from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark. He earned his M.D. from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk. After completing his general practice residency at National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD Dr. Colella completed residency for oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth.
Dr. Colella is board certified by the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and Virginia Society of Oral & Facial Surgeons. It’s obvious that Dr. Colella loves and enjoys his work. He loves challenging cases and the ability to help others.
He chose Dental Specialty Centers of Virginia because he shares the same values and vision as our practice. He believes that working directly with our dentists in-house provides the best level of care for the patient. It ensures harmonious continuity of care and convenience.
In his spare time he likes to work out and spend time with his family.
